Engagement is encouraged at the community level with retired educators bringing these lessons to their local schools in after-school programs.

Who does this serve?

Our country suffers from food deserts that go unnoticed and poor nutritional habits challenges and The Healthy Kid Project aims to solve these problems. With its adoption in underserved communities, families learn the benefits of fruits, veggies, beans, and all those great foods we ALL should be eating.

We are looking to provide more accessible resources to people who are unaware of simple changes and solutions they could be incorporating into even the busiest of lives that could ultimately change our way of living. The Healthy Kid Project not only aims to benefit those in the program by habit-making but also by spreading awareness of the lack of nutritional options that other families can get.

So, if you are someone who:

  • Wants to reduce your carbon footprint

  • Make healthier life choices for you and your family

  • Learn more about food accessibility

Then come along! The Healthy Kid Project is the network for you!
